Family Day Event - Feb17
Join us on Family Day at the Rouge Valley Conservation Centre as we learn about the birds in the Rouge and take part in the annual backyard bird count at your own home. Staff will be on hand to help with bird identification and kids can come and make a bird feeder and other bird crafts.
For the more serious birder, you can come and build and decorate your own wooden birdbox. We provide all the materials, tools, and instructions. Cost to make the birdbox is $25. Please email email@example.com to sign up for this activity.
From 10 am - 12pm join us for a winter hike through the Rouge. Explore the sites and the sounds the Rouge Valley in the winter, look for rare and migratory winter birds and learn about winter ecology. You must REGISTER for this hike by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org with your name, number of people and contact information in case of cancellation. Cost for this hike is free but donations are greatly appreciated.
Coffee, tea, and hot chocolate will be available all day so remember to bring your travel mug!
