Join us in-store for a weekend focused on getting you ready for your next winter adventure. We'll be hosting winter workshops throughout the day, complete with winter stoke, experts on-hand to answer all your snow-related questions and some surprise and delights along the way.

Learn how to prep your bike for cold weather, how to stay wam, bike maintenance tips and lots more. 10:30-11:30am

So you want to start splitboarding

If you're a snowboarder who wanted to get into backcountry touring, start with this splitboarding clinic.  11:00-12:00pm

Ice climbing safety - presented by Alpine Club of Canada 

Clinic will include avalanche awareness, transceiver choices, rescue communication devices, pros/cons etc. as well as ice axe and crampon sharpening techniques, etc. This session will focus on the safety issues specific to ice climbing that differ from skiing.

Intro to snowshoeing

Learn helpful tips and advice about snowshoeing, from what to wear to where to go. 12:30-1:30pm

Learn how to wax your skis or snowboard

Save some bucks and learn how to treat your gear to a hot wax. It's easier (and less messy) than you might think. 1:30pm-2:30pm

Learn helpful tips and advice about snowshoeing, from what to wear to where to go. 11:00-12:00pm

Mt. Harvey case study - presented by Avalanche Canada 

This presentation looks at the incident on Mt. Harvey in April 2017, where 5 snowshoers died in an avalanche when a cornice they were standing on released. The presentation will look at the factors leading to cornice development as well as other terrain and snowpack-related factors that lead to avalanches. This presenation is suitable for anyone venturing into the backcountry and will be especially pertinent to snowshoers.

How to go winter camping -brrrring it on

Curious about winter camping in the snow? Get tips on how to stay warm, cooking outside in the winter and trip planning 12:30-1:30pm
