MEC PRIDE HIKE AND BEACH EVENT

Join MEC for this inclusive hike led by Hike Nova Scotia, helping connect everyone to nature in a fun and engaging way! Get yourself, your friends and family out of the city with our inclusive guided hike, take part in yoga and enjoy the beach. Take photos, chat with friends and enjoy the peaceful fresh air in our beautiful Nova Scotian landscape.

Venus Envy has graciously donated a gift package that one lucky attendee will win!

Meet at the MEC Halifax store (1550 Granville Street) to get picked up by our bus and taken to the beautiful Crystal Crescent beach.

EVENT ITINERARY

9:30am MEC Halifax opens
10:00am Bus leaves MEC
10:45am Bus arrives at Crystal Crescent
11:00am Hike begins
11:00am Yoga begins at the first beach (relaxed, all skill levels class)
1:15pm Hike wraps up
1:30pm Bus heads back to MEC
2:15pm Bus arrives at MEC
 

To fully enjoy the day, remember to bring appropriate clothing (think layers!), water and a lunch! Please also note this is a scent-free event. 

Yoga

Courtney has been teaching yoga for three years, originally obtaining her certification from the Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Center. She loves to focus on making yoga welcoming and accessible for everyone whilst encouraging awareness and mindfulness throughout the practice. Originally from the Uk, she emigrated to Montreal in 2012 and subsequently moved to Halifax in 2017. She has a passion for the outdoors, exploring nature spaces around nova scotia and looking for any available opportunity to hike or swim, she is a proud member of the LGBT+ community and is also a strong supporter of various social and environmental justice issues!
