about mario rigby

Mario Rigby was born in Turks and Caicos Islands and spent his childhood in a small village near Stuttgart, Germany, before moving to Toronto, Canada at age 16. He has always had a tremendous drive to push the limits in athletics, exploration, and almost anything he puts his mind to.

An adventurer at heart, Rigby wanted to push himself to the absolute physical and emotional limit. The first adventure began when Mario walked from Toronto to Montreal in 14 days to prepare himself for an expedition of a lifetime involving a 2+ year, 12,000 kilometre walk across the entire continent of Africa from Cape Town in the south to Cairo in the North. He also kayaked across Lake Malawi, one of the largest lakes in Africa and did it solo for 2 months. His stories are gripping and thought provoking as he learns about humanity and overcoming fear. Mario believes that these are life lessons worth sharing in a world that is quickly changing and requires humans to have more courage to tackle issues we face today.
