Excited for the first long weekend of the summer? We are too! Come help us celebrate by joining us at our new Queen street location for a May long weekend kick off party! 

We will have a chill zone, a make your own ice cream station and some camp games setup in the store - be sure to swing by and get in on all of the fun! 

The event will be held at our new Toronto location - 300 Queen Street, West from 3:00 - 7:00pm.  

This is a FREE drop in event that we will be holding at the store so no need to register. If you are planning on attending one of the FREE in-store clinics, please register so we know how many people to expect.

Clinic #1: 3:30pm - 4:30pm - INTRO TO DAYHIKING

This free clinic will introduce participants to the equipment, skills and resources required for a safe and enjoyable day hike. Whether you are planning local travels or travelling elsewhere in Canada or the world, start here by joining this clinic for invaluable information and tips from our #mecstaffer, traveller, aventurer, and avid hiker.

Clinic #2: 4:30 - 5:30pm - THE VAN LIFE

Join #mecstaffer and adventurer, Aeden O., for this exciting clinic! It will introduce members to the essentials of travelling by vehicle, how to plan those ultimate road trips, and how to utilize and modify your vehicle for next level adventure. From car campers to avid backpackers, every type of traveller can benefit from this session!


Do you enjoy hiking and the great outdoors but are unsure of the gear required for an overnight trip or you want to pack more efficiently? Come to MEC Toronto for this free clinic with Rose, #mecstaffer and adventurer. Become familiar with the essential equipment required for an overnight hiking and camping adventure.
