REGISTRATION NOW CLOSED

Hello Runners! Online and in-store registrations for MEC Toronto Race FOUR is now closed. We will have day of registration available on race day between 7:30am and 8:15am at the registration tent. Day of registration is $30 and cash only. If you are planning on registering on race day please be sure to arrive early. 

If you've never been to the Kortright Centre and walked along the trails within - you're missing out! Join us on Saturday July 20th for a trail race like no other. Cruise up and down, left and right - it's a challenge you shouldn't miss out on!

Any race distance changes must be submitted via email by noon on Wednesday July 17th, when online registration closes.

Note: Race day registration is cash only, and is available from 7:45–8:15am on Saturday July 20th at the registration tent.


TRANSPORTATION/GETTING THERE

Our friends from Parkbus are doing two pickups within the GTA. If you are interested in taking Parkbus to get to the race you will need to purchase a ticket seperately through Parkbus. Space on the bus is limited so if you are planning on taking Parkbus please register ASAP.

** The Kortright Centre has a $6.50 admission fee. Entry fee is included in your race entry but all spectators will be subject to regular fees. Everyone is welcome to stay and enjoy the conservation area post-race.  Visit kortright.org/ for more information.

Bag Storage:

We do NOT have a secure bag store process.

  • MEC staff and volunteers are NOT responsible for any damaged, lost or stolen items
  • MEC staff and volunteers will NOT be available to hold any of your personal items

Safety Considerations:

The route is marshalled by MEC staff and volunteers, so please follow their instructions.

This path is open to the public, so keep to your right on the trail to allow cyclists and other path users to pass you. Check before overtaking another runner.


SALOMON HOW TO TRAIL RUN (HTTR) CLINIC

Sharpen your trail running skills before the race! Join MEC and Salomon for a FREE Salomon How to Trail Run (HTTR) Clinic one week before the race on Saturday July 13th. This free workshop will cover skills to improve your trail running techniques. Whether you're a new or seasoned trail runner, this clinic is for you! Space is limisted so secure your spot by registering. The link to register can be found here

RACE ROUTE

Route Description:

If you've never been to the Kortright Centre and walked along the trails within - you're missing out! Join us on July 20th for a trail race like no other. Cruise up and down, left and right - it's a challenge you shouldn't miss out on. Check out the image below for race route info.

Both routes start at start/finish line located near the pavillion to the right of the visitor centre. 

7km Route: 

The 7km race follows the the white with blue outlining route with the addition of the R6 - R11 loop that is outlined in blue for a total of 7km. 

Note: The 7km race does not run the yellow C1-C5 trail. 

12km Route: 

The 12km race does two loops of the white with blue outlining route with the addition of the yellow C1-C5 loop on the first lap of the course only. 

Note: The 12km race does not run the blue R6-R11 trail. 

Aid Stations: 

There are three aid stations on the 12km course and two aid stations on the 7km course. 

The first aid station is between trail marker W4 and W5 which is approx. 2.5km in. 

The second aid station is at trail marker R6 which is approx. 4.5km in

The third aid staiton is near the start/finish line for the second loop of the 12km. 

The 12km course hits all three aid stations twice (once on the first loop, and again on the second loop).

RACE RESULTS

We'll have live unofficial race results within one hour of runners crossing the finish line at the results station on the race site. Official Standings will be posted on the Speed River Timing Site within two business days of the event. Be sure to check back! 

We'll be giving out medals to the top three male and female finishers in each distance category (no age category awards).
