Race distance changes will be accepted via email until online registration closes on April 4th at 12:00pm, noon.
Note: Race day registration is cash only, and is available from 8:00–8:45am on April 7th at the registration tent.

- MEC staff and volunteers are NOT responsible for any damaged, lost or stolen items
- MEC staff and volunteers will NOT be available to hold any of your personal items
The route is marshalled by MEC staff and volunteers, so please follow their instructions.
This path is open to the public, so keep to your right on the trail to allow cyclists and other path users to pass you. Check before overtaking another runner. Running strollers are limited to the 5K event. Running with a stroller, please start the race at the back of the pack and stay to the right hand side so not to impeed other runners.
All races start at Coronation Park. 5K participants run 2.5km along the Martin Goodman Trail (MGT) and then return to the start area. 10K participants run 5km out the MGT and the return to the start area. 21.1K participants run 5.27 km along the MGT and return to the start area, where 10 meters in front of the starting arch there will be a turning point (pylon with marshal) where you’ll loop and head back out the MGT and repeat the loop.

21.1K = 5.27km out and back twice (Please note if you have not made loop at the start/finish area 10.5 km into your run by 10:20am, an hour and twenty minutes into the event you will be directed to finish your race at that point.
As you approach the finish arch please stay to the right hand side of the path as you run through the finish. The 21.1K runners will be looping back out on the course on their first lap and we don't want any collisions.

We’ll have live unofficial race results within one hour of runners crossing the finish line at the results station. Official standings will be posted on the Speed River Timing site as well as this page within two business days of the event. Be sure to check back!
We’ll be giving out medals to the top three male and female finishers in each distance category (no age categories awards).

LOOKING FOR A TRAINING GROUP?
Walk to 5K:
Learn to run a fun and safe 5K over 10 weeks. You will learn techniques and skills necessary to confidently complete a 5K run. A very knowledgeable MEC Staffer will lead this run providing guidance and encouragement throughout each week. Look for these clinics in early 2019 at events.mec.ca.
Run A Faster 10K:
This 10 week program is designed for the runner already comfortable with 5K, and are looking to push their 10K runs up a notch. Take an hour out of one of your nights and join us for an engaging workout with an experienced clinic leader. Look for these clinics in early 2019 at events.mec.ca.
Meet-up Road and Trail Runs:
These free meet-up runs takes place take at both stores. Schedule is as follows:
Wednesday's - 6pm (MEC North York)
Saturday - 8am (MEC Toronto at Evergreen Brickworks)
