MEC Greater Vancouver: Trail Race FOUR is the fourth of five events in the 2019 MEC Greater Vancouver Trail Race Series offering. Join us on September 8th for a classic MEC North Vancouver race in our very own backyard. Enjoy the lush forests of the Lower Seymour Conservation Reserve and the District of North Vancouver in this great event! For only $20 you can choose between a 5K or 10K race. Runners will experience a fun and welcoming race atmosphere complete with professional chip timing, complimentary coffee, fresh fruit, and free post-race massages by the professionals at North Shore Sports Medicine.

PACKAGE PICK UP
Saturday, September 7th, 2019 from 11:00am - 5:00pm at MEC North Vancouver.
Sunday, September 8th from 7:45am - 8:30am at event site at Inter River Park
Pick up your race package on Saturday, September 7th to receive a 10% discount on your purchases that day as per the following exceptions:
- Only valid on day of package pick up.
- Only on regular priced items, does not apply to clearance items (available in stock at the North Vancouver store).
- Cannot be combined with any other discounts or on any previous purchases.
- Not applicable on Blundstone items or Intense bikes.
Distance changes will be accepted until midnight on Thursday, September 5th, 2019.
Due to the volume of requests, we can no longer accept last minute or race day distance changes.
RACE DAY INFORMATION
Race Start Times
10K = 9:00am
5K = 9:20am
Start & Finish Location
The event site is at Inter River Park, North Vancouver, BC (1301 Lillooet Road), located west of Capilano University.
If coming on Hwy 1 (West), take Exit 22B after the Ironworkers Memorial Bridge. After the exit, move immediately into the centre lanes and continue straight (north) onto Lillooet Road. Go past the lights at Purcell (leads to Capilano University). Left onto Inter River Park Road (you'll see a horse stable). Turn left and drive the start area (by the lacrosse box). Parking is limited so please carpool if possible. Please allow yourself a few extra minutes to walk to the start/finish
There are bus stops at the park’s edge as well – please consult Translink schedules for arrival and departure times.
We do NOT have a secure bag storage process, however a tent will be available in which you are welcome to store your belongings.
- MEC Vancouver staff members and volunteers are not responsible for any damaged, lost or stolen items.
- MEC Vancouver staff members and volunteers will not be available to hold any of your personal items.
Medals will be awarded to top 3 male and top 3 female finishers in each race distance category.

We will have recycling, compost and waste bins available at the event site. MEC Staff sort all waste by hand after event and recycle.
Our events are powered by electric generators from Portable Electric.
Green Hydration with BYOB "Bring Your Own Bottle"
Keep our environment green by bringing your own refillable water bottle on race day! You will be responsible for carrying your bottle throughout the event. Water and Nuun electrolyte refill stations will be available at all aid stations as well as at the event site.
