Halifax Citadel National Historic Site
Course Description: Runners will experience varied terrain as they run through the Halifax Citadel’s parade square, perimeter road, sidewalks, grassy hills. Due to construction within the citadel, we may not be able to run in the trenches or on the ramparts.
There is street parking along the perimeter as well as Metro Transit routes that will be able to drop you off near the site. Biking is also a great way to warm up before a race!
There will be no parking on site at Halifax Citadel and the road will be closed to traffic.
Help us keep our races green by bringing your own water bottle. (Compostable cups and on-site recycling and composting will also be provided.)
Race routes will be posted closer to the date of the event and are weather dependent. Continuing construction may keep us out of the trenches, and off of the ramparts.
Know someone who wants to come to cheer you on and give out high-fives? Volunteering with the MEC events team is a blast. Find more information here!
