MEC is excited to be offering THREE trail running races in 2019 with lots of distance and difficulty options. If you want a challenge, sign up for all 3 MEC Calgary Trail Races in 2019!

This is the first trail race of the MEC Calgary calendar for 2019. This race is at the edge of the mountains, and is sure to challenge any runner. Sign up and you will be running around the Wintergreen Ski hill through a variety of terrain from tree covered single track to the challenging grassy slopes of the former ski hill!

RACE DAY

Saturday, May 4, from 7:30am–8:30am at event site.  Please note that the races start on time so to avoid delays on race day we advise early bib pickup

Pre-race

7:30am: Bib-pickup opens

7:45am: New Registration opens ($30)

8:30am: Bib pickup & New registrations cutoff

START TIMES

9:00am: 15K start

9:10am: 10K start

9:20am: 5K start

Note: There will be a warmup 5 minutes before each race start.

There will be 4 heats within each distance that will be self seeded for speed to avoid congestion on the trails.

LOCATION

Wintergreen, Bragg Creek

The event will start at Wintergreen Country Club  (Approximately 50108 Moose Dr, Redwood Meadows, AB), near the town of Bragg Creek.

GETTING THERE

This race starts in Bragg Creek, about 30 minutes west of Calgary. Car pooling is the best option to get there.

SUSTAINABILITY

Help us keep our races green by bringing your own water bottle. (Compostable cups and on-site recycling and composting will also be provided.)

We’ll have live unofficial live race results at https://racedaytiming.ca/results.html. Official standings will be posted on the Race Day Timing site within two business days of the event. Be sure to check back!

We’ll be giving out medals to the top three male and female finishers in each distance category (no age categories awards).
