The MEC run crew is a nation-wide pack of everyday athletes with local chapters from Victoria to Halifax. Our mission is to enable runners of all ages and abilities to get outside and get running.
We set up track workouts, interval sessions and hill repeats, or just a cruise through the city followed by a coffee. On Sundays in the summer we often hit the trails in Gatineau Park or in the Greenbelt. We show up and race the free 5k in the farm every month, we cheer at Race Weekend, we eat pumpkin pie in the parking lot, and we go running with craft breweries. Join us, it’s free!

Our runs are inclusive: our meet-up events split into different pace groups to ensure that people can run at an appropriate pace. On Thursdays our runs have a training focus, appropriate for any pace of runner, at the weekend we mix it up, hitting the trail, or meeting up together at a fun local running event.
We meet at MEC Ottawa at 6:30pm on Thursdays for training, 8:30am on Sundays for a long run (12+ km) - sign up below to start receiving a weekly email (sent on Tuesday or Wednesday) that will tell you where to meet.
Thursdays are about workouts at the track, hill reps, intervals - open to all.
