The swim leg is 750m and takes place in the WC Blair Recreation Centre pool. The pool set-up will be 4 extra wide lanes. Swimmers will be seeded by their predicted swim times from slowest to fastest. There will be 8 people per lane and you will stay in your designated lane so no need to go under ropes. As participants complete their swim and exit the pool, another will start. All start times will be recorded to ensure chip timing is accurate. Waves are determined by the number of swimmers and your estimated swim time indicated at the time of registration. All athletes must check in 15 min before their wave. Check in is at pool entry. Participants will be provided with a swim cap which must be worn at all times while in the pool. Don't forget to enter your predicted swim time when you register.
The bike leg heads south on 224th St and east on 24th Ave. There is a turnaround at the aid station and once heading back on 224th, it goes east along 40th, north on 232nd, and west on Old Yale Rd.
Riders must follow the rules of the road as they are open to traffic. There will be traffic control personnel and marshals at the intersections to assist you in proceeding. An aid station will be available midway through the ride.
The run leg heads west of WC Blair on residential streets. An aid station will be available midway through the run.
Note: The use of headphones or bluetooth communicators is not allowed.
