Run a 10km: 10 Week Training Programme

This gradual training program is designed to prepare participants who are comfortable running 5k to run 10km over the course of 10 weeks. Participants often begin at different levels of fitness and are encouraged to complete each training session to the best of their ability. The Learn to Run 10k program is based on a run/walk progression, allowing you to run for 10+km at the end of the clinic. It is progressive and fun, and the amount of running varies, with the introduction of strength/hill training and speed training, to help you achieve your goals.

Experience running at least 5km is required and recommended. Weekly sessions will consist of a 15 - 30 min class covering training, fitness and technique, followed by a 30 - 60min group run session. A training plan will be provided to you at the first session outlining the entire clinic.  Weekly emails will keep you in touch with your coach and on-top of the training plan.

This clinic is designed to finish by running 10km in MEC Calgary Race FIVE and includes an entry into the race on Saturday July 21

Cost: $55 - Clinics will meet every WEDNESDAY from 5:00 pm - 6:30 pm from May 16 to July 18 at MEC Calgary.
