MEC Paddlefest is a celebration of all things paddling related. It’s a festival with something for everyone and features informative clinics in Kayaking, Canoeing and SUP, kids’ activities, paddling demos, a place to swap your gear, the latest gear and gizmos from paddling retailers and manufacturers, community paddling groups, and gear giveaways.

Location

MEC Winnipeg Paddlefest 2016 will once again take place at FortWhyte Alive, located at 1961 McCreary Road.The venue is easily accessed by bike. If you drive, parking is available on site.

CLINICS AND WORKSHOPS

Clinics will be listed here as they become available

Clinics & courses are $5 each.

  • Wait lists will be created the day of the clinics at the event.
  • Participants must checked in no less than 20 minutes before the clinic start time.Anyone has not checked in by this time will have their space forfeited to the first person on the wait list.
  • Participants must be 14 to enroll in adult courses.
  • All course participants MUST check in at the registration desk, where they will be given a color coded wrist band once they have signed a waiver PRIOR to attending their clinic. Only those with the proper wristbands will be allowed to participate in clinics.

But even for those who don’t sign up for a course there are still plenty of things to see and do at the event for free. Local paddling shops, as well as local Paddling clubs will be on site offering advice on gear and trips. Anyone who has an interest in paddlesports shouldn’t miss the opportunity to visit MEC Winnipeg Paddlefest.
