Event Refund Policy
Entry fees are non-refundable and non-transferable under all circumstances.
No refunds: Our events and races require an extensive amount of planning and pre-event expenses that include, but are not limited to, procurement of proper permits, course control, purchase of food and beverages, staffing costs and signage. As such, if a race or event is cancelled, MEC will not provide a refund to participants.
Circumstances for cancellation or modification: MEC may cancel or modify (a) a race or (b) an event, at its sole discretion, due to any and all unforeseeable events or occurrences including, but not limited to: severe weather, factors that threaten the safety or participants, staff, or volunteers, actions by governmental entities, actions by law enforcement, unanticipated road/trail closures, the existence of dangerous animals on the course, civil unrest, acts of terrorism, war, and any other circumstances that are beyond control of MEC. MEC expressly reserves this right because the safety of participants, vendors, public safety officers, spectators, and staff is important to MEC.
Authority to cancel the event: MEC, or local municipality and law enforcement officials have the authority to cancel MEC’s event or race.
Broadcast of cancellation or modification: All participants will be notified via email of any event cancellation or event modification. The information related to cancellation or modification will also be posted on the MEC event website.
