Learn to Run 5K Clinic - Feb11 Week 6
This beginner-friendly, 8-week training program is designed to prepare participants to reach a distance of 5km.
Generally participants will begin at different levels of fitness and are encouraged to complete each training session to the best of their ability.
The Learn to Run 5K program is based on a run/walk progression, allowing you to run for 30 minutes at the end of the clinic. It is progressive and fun, and the amount of running done each week will increase by no more than 10% to help you achieve your goals and keep you injury free.
No past running experience is required. Weekly sessions will include talks covering training, gear and technique, followed by a group run session. A training plan will be provided to you at the first session outlining the entire clinic.
The clinic ends with participants completing MEC Langley Race One Langley City 5K on March 4th.
Clinic participants will receive a free entry into that event.
Clinics will run on Sunday mornings at 8 a.m. in Fort Langley in front of Lelam Cafe.
