We also provide a colored bike tag to attach to the front of the bike.  This is to assist our marshals so they can direct you along the correct route.

Bibs are also required in order to gain access to the food area and for entrance into the Lounge.

Memorial Hall, Ardrossan

For more information please click on :Ride Details" below.

If you're riding in the event, remember to use these first few kilometers to find yourself in an appropriate standing, complementing your experience and energy.  We further recommend that your starting position in the group is chosen according to the position that you anticipate to finish in (faster riders in the front, slower riders in the rear).

We ask you treat this with a non racing attitude, as traffic is permitted on the highways. We encourage our riders to push themselves within their personal limitations and experience the ride in their own way. Always remember that safety is our first concern.  We ask that our riders carry this same attitude with them throughout the day.  Let's have fun and ride hard!

Please note that the supported aspect of the ride closes at 4pm, at which point assistance will no longer be available.  As such cyclists should travel at least the following pace: (Sweep will dictate minimum pace.)

  • Forte (160K) Route --> avg. 22km/hr
  • GranFondo (100K) Route --> avg. 15km/hr
  • Medio (60K) Route --> avg. 12km/hr

If you are travelling below the minimum speed and the Sweep vehicle passes, they will ask you if you and your bike wish to be picked up.  If you choose to continue riding, the Sweep Vehicle will pass you and the remainder of the ride will be unsupported.

A full lunch will be provided to you by Mushrooms and more catering.  It will consist of eithe vegetarian or beef chili, dinner roll, Casear salad and dessert.  Juice and pop will also be available.  Your bib will permit you access to the food area.
