Camp Fortune

300 Ch Dunlop, Chelsea, QC

There is ample parking at the Camp Fortune, please follow the directions of volunteers when you arrive.

Help us keep our races green by bringing your own water bottle for before, during and after the race.

Please study the maps and their elevation profiles! All distances are approximate as they are measured with GPS.
Courses can be hiked (rather than run) in the 11 and 20km category (assuming you can finish within the 6hr time cut off), not in the 30 or 50km. This is done to ensure the safety of participants and volunteers.
Time cut offs apply:
Cut off will be enforced if runners are behind schedule passing through Camp Fortune heading out on their last loop on the 50k route (38km). Cut off is calculated for an 8:24/km average
50km runners must complete the course in 7hrs. If you do not pass the 38km mark within 5hrs19minutes, you will be pulled from the course.
11km: The route starts out running some excellent single track out of Camp Fortune before a short section along the Fortune Parkway. The longest climb is up next as the route takes on Burma (trail 3) to its summit. When the route turns for home on trail 1 it enjoys some amazing fast downhills and rolling sections before hitting some more single track before the finish. This loop will be marked with WHITE flagging tape.
20km: Starting just as the 11km route, climbing up Burma before branching off for some awesome single track running on trail 21. Once the route meets trail 2 runners will descend , then turn back up trail 40 for the long hard slog up and over to the western hut, offering some of the best views in the park over the Ottawa valley. The route then joins trail 1 to return to Camp Fortune with the same amazing downhills as the 11km route. This loop will be marked with PINK flagging tape.
30km: The 30km route completes a loop first of the 20km course (PINK), followed by the 11km course (WHITE).
50km: 50km runners will run two laps of the 20km course (PINK), followed by one lap of the 11km course (WHITE).

11km route will be marked with WHITE flagging tape.
20km route will be marked with PINK flagging tape.
30+50km routes run combinations of the two routes above.

Aid stations sponsored by:

Please study the maps (linked above) to locate aid stations.
Aid stations on the 11km route will stock water only. There will be cups at these aid stations.
The two (further away) Aid stations on the 20, 30 and 50km routes will stock water and NUUN hydration tablets. There will be NO cups at these aid stations, carry a bottle, the distances between stations are long, you will need to hydrate between!
The Aid station at Camp Fortune (for 30 and 50km runners) will stock water, NUUN hydration, pop, fruit, salty snacks and an awesome party atmosphere! You can also put your own personal drop bag there, or have a friend “crew” for you.
Thanks to MEC’s electrolyte partner NUUN hydration. nuun is high in electrolytes, yet low in sugar to keep you optimally hydrated throughout the race. NUUN PRODUCTS

Absolutely no littering, pack out your trash or leave it at an aid station.
No animals will be allowed on the trail, people do walk dogs in Gatineau Park, but you are not allowed to run with one in this race.
No pacers without a paid race entry.
No headphones.
No Strollers (the trail is too rough)
This is a friendly race!: When passing other runners please call from behind "on your left!", the slower runner will move to their right to allow the other runner to pass.
Respect other park users, yield to people walking or riding their bikes in the park.

Join us! Help people to pick up their race bib, hand athletes water on the course, point runners in the right direction and dish out the bananas at the finish line!
