COME RIDE WITH US

Join MEC Calgary for a trip through the beautiful rolling hills of Southern Alberta. This ride will follow the stunning highways through the foothills of Alberta from Turner Valley and up to Highwood Pass.

Pricing

  • Before ride day: $45
  • Ride day: $60 (if space is available)

Registration

Online registration wil close on September 21st 2017 at 9am.
 
We will also be accepting walk-up registrations in Turner Valley for $60 (cash only).

Your entry fee will include:

  • aid stations along the course with snacks and water
  • roaming mechanics to assist with major mechanical issues.
  • first-aid attendants along the route
  • food and drink at the end of the ride

Package Pickup

We encourage all participants to pick up their package on Thursday September 21, 4-9pm. Pick up your package and get 10% off in the MEC Calgary store that night with your bib!
 
If you are not able to pick up your package during the pick up time, it will be available on site on race day starting at 7:30 am.

This ride is designed as a fun road ride and as such the road will be open to other users. Please use caution while on the road. Riders will need to be self-sufficient along the ride, packing appropriate clothing for the day, a spare tube, pump and patch kit (in case you get a flat between aid stations), and food and water if you feel you'll need extra nourishment between aid stations. 

Route:

The route is an out and back ride.

60km Distance: Riders will head out from Turner Valley through Black Diamond, south to Longview and West towards highwood pass to the 30km Aid station and turn back.

100km Distance: Riders will head out from Turner Valley through Black Diamond, south to Longview and West towards highwood pass to the 50km Aid station and turn back.

160km Distance: Riders will head out from Turner Valley through Black Diamond, south to Longview and West to highwood pass to the 80km Aid station and turn back.

Our in house mechanics will be available for any last minute tweaking. There will also be mechanics out on course to aid with any light unexpected issues on course.
