COME RIDE WITH US

Join MEC Calgary for a trip through the beautiful rolling hills of Southern Alberta. This ride will start and finish at the family friendly Bar-U Ranch national historic site and head south, following the stunning highways through the foothills of Alberta.

Pricing

  • Before ride day: $45
  • Ride day: $60

What to do at Bar-U Ranch:

Wander the site on foot or take a wagon ride. Stop by the Chuckwagon at Roundup Camp on the banks of Pekisko Creek and taste the cowboy coffee simmering over the campfire.  Follow your nose to the Cookhouse to discover if the ranchhands left any dessert. Sit in a saddle and imagine how riding the range felt like. Try roping our steers - it's not easy, even when they don't move. Immerse yourself in the stories of fortunes made and lost, harsh winters and massive cattle round-ups.

Before you leave, try a traditional homemade ranch meal at the Bar U Cafe. On your way out, be sure to check out the Bar U Gift Shop featuring handmade goods by local artists.

Registration

We will also be accepting Walk-up registrations at Bar U Ranch for $60.

Your entry fee will include:

  • aid stations along the course with snacks and water
  • roaming mechanics to assist with major mechanical issues.
  • first-aid attendants along the route
  • food and drink at the end of the ride
