Field Waxing 101 – Are you baffled and bewildered by the rows of different XC ski waxes? Let Logan help you learn about the different wax types and how to use them in the field, so you can enjoy your next adventure instead of slipping and sliding in all the wrong ways. 1:15pm-2:00pm
Winter Running For the Reluctant – our own Aaron Clemens somehow ended up committed to running a half-marathon in January. He’ll share the new things he’s been learning about winter running so you can train for your own events (or just give yourself an excellent excuse to eat more holiday goodies). 9:30am-10:15pm

Winter Photography – Tired of your winter adventure pictures turning out blah or blurred? Tracy Elliott will share tips and tricks for balancing light levels, using filters, and protecting yourself and your equipment in cold weather. 10:15am-11:00am
Intro to Avalanche Safety – Yamnuska Mountain Adventures will help you understand what avalanches are and why you need to be aware and prepared in the backcountry. 11:15am-12:00pm and 2:00pm-2:45pm
What’s In My Pack for Ice Climbing – Rob Owens from Petzl will show you how he prepares for ice climbing expeditions and other backcountry winter fun. 11:15am-12:00pm
Winter Camping – It’s “in tents!” (Sorry, couldn’t resist). Why camp in winter? Well, the bears are asleep and the mosquitoes are frozen, so what’s not to love? Find out how to get started on your own winter-wonderland camping adventure! 1:15pm-2:00pm

Bring your skis to our SNOWFEST on Sat November 17th to have them waxed on the spot! Ski techs will be available from 9-3 to wax skis by donation, with all funds going to the Canadian Association for Disabled Skiing.
Other Activities at Snowfest include:

Climbing Wall: Try ice climbing on our indoor wall.
Fire Pit- Warm up by the fire or try your hand at roasting the perfect marshmallow.
