Family Leisure Ride
Free family rides around Christie Lake depart at 11:30, 12:30, 2:30 and 3:30. All ages welcome!
Beginner to Intermediate Road Bike Ride Hamilton Cycling Club (Hamilton, ON)
Come explore the rural roads of the Hamilton region with Ken Wilson of the Hamilton Cycling Club. This 30 km ride through the secondary roads around Chistie Lake Conservation Area is intended for beginner to intermediate riders.
Youth’s Learn to Mountain Bike Ride MEC (Burlington, ON)
This clinic is open to youth 8-13 years old and their parents. Let an MEC cycling expert introduce your kids to mountain biking. Bicycle and helmet are required.
Women’s Learn to Mountain Bike Ride
Let three fantastic women lead you through a beginner skill drills clinic, followed by a trail ride. Focus will be on body position, shifting, braking and cornering. This clinic will be lot's of fun! Participants must have their own mountain bike.
Intermediate to Advanced Mountain Bike Ride Freewheel Cycle (Dundas, ON)
Get the first look at new single-track at Christie Lake Conservation Area with Phil Szczepaniak and and Adam Simpson. This 15-20 km ride through Christie Lake Conservation Area and the Dundas Valley is intended for intermediate and advanced riders.
This skills session covers the basics of descending, climbing, cornering, gearing, obstacles and braking. Time will also be spent reviewing appropriate mountain bike attire and gear.
Learn to Bunny Hop Mountain Equipment Co-op (Burlington, ON)
For youth and the young at heart! Have fun learning how to bunny hop your bike over small obstacles!
Bicycle Touring Great Waterfront Trail Adventure (Toronto, ON)
Learn the basics for self-supported and fully-supported bicycle tours including the proper equipment, nutrition, and planning. Route ideas will also be presented along Lake Erie and Lake Ontario.

Let cycling experts at New Hope Community Bikes walk you through the things you want to check before you ride. Topics covered include: chain cleaning and lubrication, and minor gear and break adjustments.
Tires, Tubes and Patches Brant Cycle (Burlington, ON)
Getting a flat tire when riding is likely the most common mechanical breakdown for cyclists. Knowing how to remove your wheel and how to repair or replace the tube will ensure you get back on your bike and complete your ride. This session will cover what you need to bring with you to repair a flat tire, and how to go about fixing your tire.
On-Road/Trail Breakdowns Brant Cycle (Burlington, ON)
Having a mechanical issue while riding can make for a miserable trip home—walking or in a cab! This workshop will look at some of the more common breakdowns (not including flat tires, that's another workshop!) a cyclist faces when they are on a ride and how to repair them using basic tools so you can complete your ride.
