Speaker Series - Ice Climbing Dymystified - Introduction to Ice climbing
What is ice climbing? Why would I want to try this? How do I get into ice climbing? What equipment and clothing do I need? All these questions and more will be answered in this 1 hour introductory clinic from local ice climber Raymond Kam
Ray will introduce the activity in a friendly, non-intimidating atmosphere and pace the talk to match the level of each participant. The topics for the day will include an overview of the Ice Climbing areas in Southern Ontario, cliff safety, outdoor ethics as well as equipment use and care.
This program is also well-suited to small groups or individuals who are keen to experience the Ice Climbing that is found in the Southern Ontario Area. No previous experience is necessary.
