Enjoy THURSDAY morning yoga classes using the Iyengar method. These classes will have you progressively perform poses (asana), sometimes with the support of props to give the body an experience of what a pose should feel like. Poses are held longer than most other types of yoga allowing a deeper penetration into the body.
It’s a great way to relieve the stresses of life and helps to promote physical and spiritual well-being.
All levels and abilities are welcome. Just $10 per session.
NOTE: Please bring a mat, water, comfortable clothes, yoga belt and 2 blocks (the last two are useful for a number of poses).
The instructor, Ghislaine Atkins, is a former marathon runner, cyclist and hiker, and has honed her instructor skills at the Yoga Centre in Toronto. She says yoga is a constant source of learning. Contact her: firstname.lastname@example.org
Parking is free for the first two hours of any visit to the North York store. Yoga is in the community room, far corner from the front door.
NOTICE: For all yoga and pilates sessions, Instructors kindly ask that you be in the room early. Late arrivals have caused interruptions to the flow of the mood and energy in classes. Doors will be locked at the start time even if you're pre-registered & paid. If you arrive late and miss a class make a note on the sign on the class door and we'll move you to the next session a week later (or to some other yoga class as you prefer).
