RUN / Yoga
We will meet at the store for a 9:00am departure and run approximately 5k through the quiet morning streets of Halifax. Views along the waterfront and from Citadel Hill are well worth the effort for a Sunday morning! If you are new to running, it is a great way to start; or for established runners, it is a nice continuation of your running program.
Upon completion of the run, we will flow through a Vinyasa style Yoga sequence aimed to help lengthen and strengthen muscles most commonly used by runners. Also, we will be sure to focus on some core development and a nice cool down to relax the body while clearing the mind to enjoy the week ahead!
NOTE: The yoga will usually be held outside on the waterfront on the jetty in front of the Bicycle Thief where you can find all the Drunken Lamp Posts. If the weather is on the rainy side of things the yoga will happen in the store before it opens.
Everyone likes choice, so there are now three options available. Go ahead, and pick one that feels right for you!
Option 1: Show up at 9:00am and join in on both the run and yoga, or
Option 2: Show up at 9:00am for the run only and then continue right into your day. Or
Option 3: Show up at 9:50am for yoga only and we will determine the location, depending on weather!
Participants can leave their gear at the store until the completion of the events. Please bring your own mat.
Participants may change in the store from running to yoga gear if so desired.
